"Arizona desert living?" Many people may wonder why anyone would ever want to live in such a hot arid region.  Those of us who live here as a full-time resident or as a winter visitor have likely already discovered the truth about living in the Southwest.

If you are looking for an endless list of things to do while keeping cool in the stifling hot summer sun, then you have come to the right location.  Not everyone would agree that hiking any of the mountains in 110 degree heat would be a wise choice in July, August, or even September, let alone golfing, for that matter.  Contrary to belief, however, there are numerous ways to enjoy the weather and still "beat the heat." Living in the desert is something that everyone can enjoy.  Whether you are a full-time resident of Arizona or if you are a retiree looking to spend the winter months in a warmer climate, living in the southwest part of the United States has something to offer both part-time and full-time residents.

Many people might not actually believe that there are so many things to do in the middle of the desert.  But, no matter what your interests are, there are countless ways of entertainment to satisfy anyone's taste buds in the outdoors or indoors. If it's lakes that you enjoy, Arizona is home to many lakes.  If it's golfing that you enjoy, there are more than 300 golf courses throughout the state.  Plenty of golf courses in all regions of the state!

On the other side, if it's the cooler weather that you enjoy, this state also has plenty of cooler weather, including snow!  Yes, I said snow!  If you love to ski, snowshoe, or just like to see snow in the winter, Arizona can provide that to you too, in the higher northern elevations.

Relocating to this state is an especially great choice as it has so much of what people are looking for.  Many people who make the permanent or temporary move are pleased to discover all the many options they have to enjoy while living here.
