Arizona Mountains

Arizona Mountains! Did you know that there are 193 Arizona Mountain ranges? I had no idea there were so many mountains until I did some research. No wonder I love Arizona. I have always enjoyed the mountains and likely you do, too.

What are your favorite mountains? I particularly love the Superstition Mountains. I didn’t grow up around mountains and I never even saw one in person (except for pictures or on television, of course) until I was a teenager. Maybe that is why I appreciate the mountains so much.

Superstitions Mountains Arizona Now, I am surrounded by the Arizona mountains, now that I live here in the Southwest. But of all of the many Arizona mountains, my favorite mountain range are the Superstitions. I love looking at the Superstitions.

Believe it or not, the reason I prefer these Arizona Mountains the most, is not because I can see them from my living room, kitchen, or patio. Rather, there is something very special about the Superstitions that are hard to describe, unless, of course, you have experienced them in person for yourself. I love all of the Arizona Mountains, but to me, the Superstition Mountains are, to me, the most interesting.

It’s a fact that these Arizona mountains take on a different appearance every day. While I have only lived in Arizona since 2001, I know someone who shares the same belief, and she has probably lived in the area for 30 years.

While driving home one day, I was looking at the Arizona mountains, as I always do. Once again, I noticed that the Superstition Mountains had taken on a very unique, but very different appearance.

The sun and the cloud mixture had created an area on the western part of the mountain that looked as if it were “lit up” with a very bright television camera. The other areas were quite dark, with a hint of green at (mostly) the base of the mountains. I had never seen this before and was taken back by this.

If you know these mountains, you already know what I am talking about and understand exactly what I mean when I say the Superstition Mountains never look the same.

I really like the fact that each day the Superstitions take on a different appearance. One of life's simple pleasures for me. Every morning I love to open up the sliding door and see what kind of appearance they have taken on that day. I feel so thankful to be able to be so close to the very special mountains that I truly love.
